Modern Manner School of Etiquette and Protocol offers courses from Kindergarten through Middle School throughout the Triangle. We invite you to browse of offerings, grouped by age, below.

In addition, our Cultivating Character programs are offered to K-5th during the extended day (after school) program at select schools.

YOUR MANNERS MATTER

NATIONAL CIVILITY PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN  6-10

Modern Manner has utilized a unique, global award winning  curriculum that will teach your child the fundamentals of good manners and etiquette. Learning  the basics of making introductions, table manners,  thank you notes, and sportsmanship, are just a few of the topics covered in this course. 

 

Classes are held weekly in 1-hour sessions and are organized in 6-week segments. Tailored to be age-appropriate, interactive, and fun, this course will provide your child with vital skills from which to build upon their future success.

CIVIL SAVVY SOCIETY PROGRAM

MANNERS EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN AGES 11-13
 

This course continues to build upon the fundamentals of good manners and etiquette and introduces topics such as conflict resolution, the importance eye contact, and proper cell phone  etiquette  in addition other soft skills that ensure your child is well-equipped to navigate social situations with grace and confidence. 

 

By learning and practicing these skills, individuals can build and strengthen positive relationships with others and contribute to a more harmonious transition to their teenage years.

 

Classes are held weekly in 1-hour sessions and are organized in 6-week segments. Tailored to be age-appropriate, interactive, and fun, this course will provide your child with vital skills from which to build upon their future success.

  • Table manners: How to use cutlery, spread a napkin, and eat properly 
  • Dining etiquette: How to behave at the table, including how to talk, how long to wait, and how to use a knife and fork 
  • Electronic etiquette: How to use social media and electronic communication, and how to be polite on the phone 
  • Appearance and posture: How to dress and groom for nice occasions 
  • Eye contact: How to make eye contact to show confidence 
  • Respecting others' choices: How to be considerate and think about others' feelings and reactions
